Sometimes, when I look at people, I project what they would look like in the future.
Then, when I look at them in the present, they become unfamiliar. I can't recognize them as the person who stood before me a moment ago. Where did s/he go? My conception of the person, born of optics and brain jumbling, was error. The person refuses to be understood.
But you can understand most people. They just don't really enter your life.
Have you ever tried to understand how you recognize people?
Usually a cursory glance or a distinct gait will give help you recognize someone.
But looking into someone's face and trying to understand it is so difficult.
I'm convinced that time is just a measure of universal movement. If the universe stopped moving, down to its last molecule, time would terminate.
On a more upbeat note, I understand myself.

looking at them, or what their lives would be like?
