It is a dangerous thing to confuse choice with faith.

How can one really choose to be a Christian?
Also, when one has faith,
How can one really affirm that faith was a choice?

Can you really choose to believe in something? If not, then what are our inherent criteria of what we deem to be acceptable or not?

Hm. yes. said...

Faith is a choice to the extent that faith's ground and substance is action.

yes, but faith is never an action. it is a profound passivity. perhaps, though we do though open ourselves up creating room for ourselves for the subtance of faith, which God fills.

However, the truth is, even if you want faith, you cannot have it of your own volitions.
