reflections on Weil

evil in order for it to be evil must be meaningless.
To try and put meaning into what is purely evil is demeaning to what is good, because it associates a good with evil.
evil must be pure, unalloyed, and completely devoid of meaning for it to be evil. anything with meaning is simply a lesser-degree of good and cannot be termed evil.
