You say God is love. Do you believe it because the Bible tells you so, or because you've experienced it?
"Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so." Is that it? Are you content with that? No one is. What is truth if you can't personally attest to it? Ask God for it, and He will not fail.

Sorry, I deleted the above post.
But I'm actually very content with that answer. It's good to know that God loves you, even in circumstances where you can't directly "experience" it. Because that is what the bible promises. Just as the bible promises that one day we'll be freed from the power of sin. I haven't experienced this freedom in its entirety yet, but I hope for it.
Faith, after all, is being certain of what we do not see. I am certain of God's love, even if I do not see it, or have any knowledge of my experience of it. The bible says so :)
