Be perfect, like your Father. (Not like me)

I have a question. Even though there is an inherent value in a person, defining a person who is reasonable, self-aware, and has a temporally-unified notion of self, then is there any phenomena that could alter that person that would negate his privileged personhood?

Let's say drugs. If someone does drugs consciously and deliberately knowing that it would pervert his psychosis and consciousness, does that person qualify as the aforementioned person? He isn't self-aware or reasonable, nor (probably) does he have any sense of time, therefore, he is not a person in that stage, therefore, due respect does not have to be given to such a person. Then, would it be immoral to treat that person with due callousness?

Mercy! Forgiveness! These all pertain to persons. Perhaps when they are again sober we can have this discussion.

I hope you all see where I am going with this. Let's stay sober, guys.
