Then who is my brother?
"Who are my mother and my brothers?" he asked. Then he looked at those seated in a circle around him and said, "Here are my mother and my brothers! Whoever does God's will is my brother and sister and mother."
Who does God's will?
In light of these two passages, I question my own ability to forgive or condemn the actions taken by the Taliban against the Korean pastor. Are we required to put up our hands and say, "Lord, vengeance is your's?" Yet it still remains, "but the memories are our own."
Do we forgive them? We are asked to love our enemies, but do we forgive them as well? I would not dare to call them my brother, or as doing God's will. Then, I am left in an impasse. I cannot either condemn their actions, nor can I forgive them...
