The moon has no light of its own, but receives its power from the sun.
The moon orbits the earth, while the earth orbits the sun.
With the sun, there is no other greater light and even the stars fade at its face.
Without the sun there is no life.
The Son has no light of its own, but receives His power from the Father.
The Son came to our immediate creation facing us, as the Father sent Him and let Himself known through creation with His brilliance.
With the coming of the Father, there is no created light that can compete.
Without the Father, there is no life, nor is there the Son.
In the daytime the Father allows His face to be seen in creation, reminding us of the blessings we have. In the nighttime, He allows His glory to still shine as a reminder that there is joy amidst darkness and evil times.
